Anthea Mumby, President
Anthea started her insurance career over 30 years ago at her father’s insurance brokerage. Like many small business owners, Dennis Mumby operated the brokerage from his home at that time. This gave Anthea daily exposure to the brokerage, or as some would say, 'insurance in her blood'.
She acquired her technical knowledge and experience working in various roles through the years, while always adhering to her father’s philosophy of 'look after clients first, and the business will look after itself.'
She was then given the opportunity to acquire the Family Brokerage in 2002 wherein she assumed the role of President. Today, Anthea’s focus remains leading her team to execute on the company’s Vivid Vision. Through both challenging times, and company success, Anthea has effectively led Mumby Insurance Brokers with her vision, passion, and capability. She is an avid reader and learner, who is skilled at mentoring others by sharing key insights, strategies, and tools. Anthea is proud of the fact that over 95% of Mumby clients renew their insurance with Mumby each year!
Anthea has co-authored a series of books called Insurance Exposed, with the goal of uncovering many insurance pitfalls that cost people money and put them at risk. She was featured in the 'Women of Merit' publication in 2017. Anthea is also one of the 12 published authors in the 'I Know WHY' book published in 2019. She has been named Best Insurance Agent by the People’s Choice Awards in Waterloo.
Anthea sits on several boards and also helps other entrepreneurs to create their own successful business vision.

Douglas Pinnell, Vice President
Douglas is co-owner of Mumby as well as Vice President. Douglas’ expertise in Life Insurance, Living Benefits and Health & Dental Programs helps principals and their employees protect what matters most to them – their families and the businesses they have worked so hard to create.
Douglas makes a point of asking excellent questions in order to understand clients' needs and bring them best value for their insurance dollar. After all, from Douglas’ perspective, Mumby’s clients are an extension of his family. He responds to them with care and understanding, ensuring he only recommends solutions that meet their needs.
Douglas is an engaging and knowledgeable presenter, sharing his knowledge in areas such as insurance, succession planning, and other topics to help firms succeed.
Douglas co-authored a series of books called Insurance Exposed, with the goal of uncovering many insurance pitfalls that cost people money and put them at risk. His most recent book, Group Benefits Exposed, is a guide for business owners who want to save money, reduce their taxes, and increase employee productivity.
In 2019, Douglas was voted as the best insurance agent in Waterloo by the Waterloo Chronicle Readers Choice Awards.

Debbie is a true veteran in insurance, having been a licensed insurance broker since 2000.
She spent a number of years working for her father's insurance brokerage. During this time, she earned her prestigious CAIB designation.
As a highly empathetic individual, Debbie is someone who likes to find agreeable solutions for you, patiently taking time to provide the answers you are looking for.
Chris Morris, Commercial Lines Specialist
Chris recently returned to the commercial insurance industry after a 10 year hiatus.
As a risk manager, he will take the time to evaluate your operations, identify your vulnerabilities and explain your options. Around the office at Mumby, we find Chris is always positive and someone who will take great care to research and analyze risk on behalf of clients.
