Anthea started her insurance career at her Father’s insurance brokerage at the age of 15. Like many small business owners,  Dennis Mumby operated the brokerage from his home at that time.  This gave Anthea daily exposure to the brokerage, or as some would say “insurance in her blood”.

She acquired her technical knowledge and experience working in various roles through the years,  while always adhering to her father’s philosophy of “look after  clients first, and the business will look after itself.” Anthea assisted her father after school and on weekends,  and joined the firm full time after she graduated from the University of Waterloo.

She was then given the opportunity to acquire the Family Brokerage in 2002 wherein she assumed the role of President. Anthea now has over 25 years experience as a broker.

Anthea’s passion is to consistently explore new ways of raising the bar in providing a superior customer service experience for Mumby’s clients. From product marketing to developing sound carrier relationships, Anthea’s focus is to promote and reinforce the Mumby MORE promise statements. This commitment was recently recognized as she was named Best Insurance Agent by the People’s Choice Awards in Waterloo!

What You Should KnowAnthea takes pride in the fact that over 96% of her customers renew their insurance with Mumby each year. Anthea’s strong work ethic and commitment to fulfilling her Father’s legacy of always putting clients’ interests first  means she can be counted on to get the job done in a conscientious, client focused,  and professional manner.

Recently Anthea co-authored a series of books called Insurance Exposed, with the goal of uncovering many insurance pitfalls that cost people money and put them at risk. You can get your complimentary copy here.

In her spare time, Anthea is usually reading 4 to 6 books at any point in time, cooking healthy meals, or spending time with family and friends.
