How Much is Enough

When it comes to liability insurance, you can never have too much. The minimum amount of coverage is set out by IDC and is the very least that you may have to operate as an interior designer. These limits, however, are not necessarily adequate in protecting you against the types of lawsuits you may experience as a professional. No matter how big or small your business and projects are, your exposure to risk is the same. One cannot predict how much a client will sue for, or what judgement may be made. In today’s increasingly litigious environment, it is always wiser to err on the side of caution than expose yourself and business to a potentially devastating blow to your finances.

Did You Know...?
The policy includes defense costs. Since these can run into tens of thousands of dollars, this alone makes the coverage worthwhile.
